In another article from the Kennebec Journal, there is the touching story of Bruce Siket, a seminarian studying for the Diocese of Portland, Maine.
While his wife was dying of a brain tumor, she suggested that he become a priest after her death. She passed away in 2001 and Bruce decided to enter the seminary. After taking some time, he entered Blessed John XXIII National Seminary in Weston MA, a seminary especially for older students.
Bruce was ordained to the diaconate this month and plans on being ordained to the priesthood next year.
