Cardinal Dulles's Fordham Farewell Speech

I find it hard to believe that almost one year to the day, I was present at what may have been one of Avery Cardinal Dulles' last public lectures.

Cardinal Dulles is leaving his post at Fordham University, where he has served as the Laurence J. McGinley professor of religion and society for the last 20 years.

Suffering from post polio syndrome, the Cardinal sat in a wheelchair while Father Joseph P O'Hare, S.J., Fordham's former president, delivered his words in his place.

Catholic News Service has an article on the speech here.
